General Academic Student Profile and Curriculum Guidelines

A student’s Standing Year and Term reflects their academic progress based on completed credits—not their actual grade level. For example, a 3rd-year college student may hold a 4th Year, Term 1 standing if enough credits have been satisfied. This same concept applies across all levels in Grado.

To ensure accurate academic tracking and proper fulfillment of curriculum requirements, the following term structures and settings must be applied consistently.

Academic Term Structure

School Level Student Standing Term Curriculum Requirement Term
Grade School (Gr. 1-6) Yearlong Yearlong
Junior High (Gr. 7-10) Yearlong Yearlong
Senior High (Gr. 11-12) Semestral (1st / 2nd) Semestral (1st / 2nd)

Class and Section Term Setup

School Level Class & Section Term
Grade School (Gr. 1-6) Yearlong
Junior High (Gr. 7-10) Semestral (1st / 2nd)
Senior High (Gr. 11-12) Semestral (1st / 2nd)
Clubs (Gr. 1-12) Semestral (1st / 2nd)

🔸 Note: Although Junior High curriculum and academic standing are yearlong, Grado allows semestral scheduling for classes and sections. When setting these up, you must specify Term 1 or Term 2 (1st / 2nd semester).

Grade Item Count Configuration

Grade item counts refer to the number of grading components (e.g., Midterm, Term Mark) per subject, per term. Set the values as follows:

  • Lower and Middle School Subjects (Grades 1-10):
Set 4 grade items per academic year:

    • grade items 1 & 2 = Midterm (MT) and Term Mark (TM) for Term 1

    • grade items 3 & 4 = Midterm (MT) and Term Mark (TM) for Term 2

  • Junior and Senior High School Subjects (Grades 7-12):
Set 2 grade items per semester:

    • grade items 1 & 2 = Midterm (MT) and Term Mark (TM) for the current semester

  • Clubs (Grades 1-12):
Set 2 grade items (applies to both Lower and Middle School Clubs)
